Order Settings
Set Order Edit Deadlines
Access the Order Edit Deadline Section:
In the Qtane OrderEdit App, navigate to the Order Edit Deadline section.
Choose a Deadline:
Select a predefined time frame for order modifications, such as:
15 minutes
30 minutes
1 hour
2 hours
1 day
Custom time (set your own deadline)
Save your settings to apply the deadline.
Enable Reverse Unpaid Orders:
Toggle the "Reverse Unpaid Order After Deadline Time Over" option.
This setting ensures that if a customer edits an order by adding more products or increasing quantities—resulting in a payment due—but fails to complete the payment before the deadline, the order automatically reverts to its original state.
Order Edit Restrictions
Control which orders or products can be modified by setting restrictions based on specific conditions. This ensures that only certain orders or products are editable, giving you more control over the order modification process.
Restrict by Order Tags
Navigate to the Restrict Order Edits by Order Tags Section:
In the app, go to the Restrict Order Edits by Order Tags section.
Assign Order Tags:
Add tags to orders that should be restricted from edits (e.g., "Claim Disable").
Orders with these tags will not be editable by customers.
Save Your Settings:
Once you’ve assigned the tags, save your settings to apply the restrictions.
Restrict by Product Tags
Navigate to the Restrict Order Edits by Product Tags Section:
In the app, go to the Restrict Order Edits by Product Tags section.
Assign Product Tags:
Tag products that should not be editable (e.g., "Within: Summers Spring").
Products with these tags will be hidden from the editing portal.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to apply the restrictions.
Restrict by Line Item Attributes
Navigate to the Restrict Order Edits by Line Item Attributes Section:
In the app, go to the Restrict Order Edits by Order Line Item Attributes section.
Define Attributes:
Specify attributes that should restrict edits (e.g., "Custom Cut Attributes").
Line items with these attributes will not be editable.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to apply the restrictions.
Hide Product Options
Navigate to the Hide Product Options Section:
In the app, go to the Hide Product Options During Order Edits section.
Select Product Options to Hide:
Choose which product options (e.g., size, color) should be hidden during order edits.
Customers will not be able to modify these options.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to apply the restrictions.
Disallow Edits to Free Items
Navigate to the Order Edit Restrictions Section:
In the app, go to the Order Edit Restrictions section.
Enable Disallow Edits to Free Items:
Toggle the "Disallow Edits to Free Items" option.
This prevents customers from modifying line items that have been discounted to zero or are free of charge.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to apply the restriction.
Order Cancellations
Allow customers to request cancellations and provide reasons for their requests. You can also configure refund options and define cancellation reasons to streamline the process.
Allow Cancellations
Navigate to the Order Cancellations Section:
In the app, go to the Order Cancellations section.
Enable Order Cancellations:
Toggle the "Allow Order Cancellation" option.
This allows customers to request cancellations and provide reasons.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable cancellations.
Refund Options
Navigate to the Order Cancellations Section:
In the app, go to the Order Cancellations section.
Choose Refund Options:
Select the desired refund option:
Automatic Refunds: Process refunds automatically through the customer’s original payment method.
Store Credit: Issue refunds as store credit for future purchases.
Manual Review: Manually review and process refunds.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to apply the refund options.
Cancellation Reasons
Navigate to the Order Cancellations Section:
In the app, go to the Order Cancellations section.
Define Cancellation Reasons:
Add a list of reasons for cancellations that customers can choose from (e.g., "Item no longer needed," "Changed mind about the product").
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to apply the cancellation reasons.
Order Downgrades
Allow customers to modify their orders by decreasing quantity, switching products, or removing items. This feature provides flexibility for customers while maintaining control over order changes.
Allow Downgrades
Navigate to the Order Downgrades Section:
In the app, go to the Order Downgrades section.
Enable Order Downgrades:
Toggle the "Allow Order Downgrade" option.
This allows customers to decrease quantities, switch products, or remove items from their orders.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable downgrades.
Refund Preferences
Navigate to the Order Downgrades Section:
In the app, go to the Order Downgrades section.
Choose Refund Preferences:
Select the desired refund option:
Store Credit: Issue refunds as store credit for future purchases.
Original Payment Method: Refund the customer’s original payment method.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to apply the refund preferences.
Order Summaries
Allow customers to view their order summary, which includes options to remove, modify, or replace products. This feature provides transparency and flexibility for customers during the order editing process.
Enable Order Summaries
Navigate to the Order Summaries Section:
In the app, go to the Order Summaries section.
Enable Order Summaries:
Toggle the "Allow Order Summary" option.
This allows customers to view their order summary and make changes if enabled.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable order summaries.
Show Remove Option
Navigate to the Order Summaries Section:
In the app, go to the Order Summaries section.
Enable Remove Option:
Toggle the "Show Remove Option in Order Summary" option.
This allows customers to remove products from their order summary.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable the remove option.
Quantity Edits
Enable customers to adjust the quantities of items in their cart or remove products entirely. This feature provides flexibility for customers while maintaining control over order changes.
Adjust Quantities
Navigate to the Quantity Edits Section:
In the app, go to the Quantity Edits section.
Enable Quantity Adjustments:
Toggle the "Allow Customers to Adjust Product Quantities" option.
This allows customers to increase or decrease item quantities in their cart.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable quantity adjustments.
Remove Products
Navigate to the Quantity Edits Section:
In the app, go to the Quantity Edits section.
Enable Product Removal:
Toggle the "Allow User to Remove the Product" option.
This allows customers to remove products from their orders.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable product removal.
Product Switches
Allow customers to switch between products, variants, or unrelated items. This feature provides flexibility for customers while maintaining control over order changes.
Swap Product Variants
Navigate to the Product Switches Section:
In the app, go to the Product Switches section.
Enable Product Variant Swaps:
Toggle the "Swap Product Variants" option.
This allows customers to swap between different variants of a product (e.g., changing a small hoodie to a medium).
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable product variant swaps.
Unrelated Product Switches
Navigate to the Product Switches Section:
In the app, go to the Product Switches section.
Enable Unrelated Product Switches:
Toggle the "Unrelated Product Switch" option.
This allows customers to exchange completely different products (e.g., swapping a hoodie for a pair of shoes).
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable unrelated product switches.
Retain Discounts
Navigate to the Product Switches Section:
In the app, go to the Product Switches section.
Enable Retain Discounts:
Toggle the "Retain Discounts on Replacements" option.
This ensures that customers retain any discounts when switching to eligible replacement products.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable discount retention.
Gift Notes
Allow customers to personalize their orders by adding or modifying gift messages. This feature provides a personalized touch for customers while giving you control over the gift message process.
Personalize Gift Messages
Navigate to the Gift Notes Section:
In the app, go to the Gift Notes section.
Enable Gift Messages:
Toggle the "Allow Customers to Personalize Gift Message" option.
This allows customers to add or modify gift messages on their orders.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable gift messages.
Email Notifications
Navigate to the Gift Notes Section:
In the app, go to the Gift Notes section.
Enable Email Notifications:
Toggle the "Allow Email on Gift Message Received" option.
Enter the email address where notifications should be sent.
This ensures you receive an email whenever a customer submits a gift message.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to enable email notifications.
Navigate to the Gift Notes Section:
In the app, go to the Gift Notes section.
Set Character Limit:
Enter your preferred character limit (e.g., 230 characters).
Toggle the "Set Character Limit for Gift Message" option.
This ensures that gift messages stay concise and within the desired length.
Save Your Settings:
Save your settings to apply the character limit.
